Ki & Ka – A Topsy Turvy thinking by Director

Ki & Ka – Hindi Feature film, yet another beautiful movie from Balki. Topsy-Turvy is the best word to describe one of the most talented directors of Indian Cinema. Different Concept, unique approach, perfect casting, soothing music, eye-catching visuals, suitable dialogs and an equalent sprinkling of humor and emotion all over the movie. If you can see all these in a single movie, then it is Dir. Balki’s creation.

Ki & Ka is a cleverly chosen sensitive subject. The plot is all about the topsy-turvy thinking of the relationship ( so-called traditional / conventional practice ). The way he handled the script was amazing. Kareena Kapor Khan & Arjun Kapoor did their best for this movie. Swaroop Sampat(Kareena’s mom) role was adorable. Though this movie has got mixed reviews both negative and neutral, I felt that Balki handled it very well by not making it as more emotional or more of an advice or preaching kind of movie. He touched most sensitive parts of the movie very lightly, as he wanted to get connected to the younger generation.He just wanted to break the perceptions  like Women has to do all the house chores and homemaking and Men have to earn and has the responsibility to protect the family. If handling and making a home is an art, then why its totally dependent on Women ?

Few other things I like in this movie are romance between Ki & Ka, Ka & Ki’s Mom relationship, Ki’s house railway and train interior ( though it looked dramatic or set kind of thing ), visuals & Ilayaraja’s background score.

Apart from the critics and reviews about this movie, I feel all men and women have to watch this movie once and this will surely bring a different perception of seeing their living style. I liked this movie very much and I will recommend it to my friends to watch it once 🙂

Bane of cinema industry

Negative publicity is the greatest bane of Cinema Industry in the recent times. It has different faces like reviews, memes etc., Earlier we used to see reviews and which is like more of a analysis of the movie. It was kind of positive reviews and was a great support for all the movies. But in the recent times, people started creating negative reviews and memes to get more “like” or “Fan”base. Facebook, Twitter, blogging sites, websites, Radio shows etc., plays a master role in carrying these negative publicity. No one thinks its a creation and all creations are not meant to be perfect for every ones eyes. Every creation has its own pros and cons.  None of them is aware that they are indirectly destroying lot of creations and creators.

Here are few of the victims of negative publicity in Tamil film industry 7am Arivu, Anjaan, Maatraan, Maas, Kochadayaan, Linga and Puli. From the day one, these negative publicity is getting viral and it surely affec the next day or same day box office collections. Let the general public decide about the success and flop of a movie and not the so called intelligent and talented reviewers.  Just keep one thing in mind that Movie is a creation and its a business and not a Magic which comes with no efforts. It’s all about everything for people associated with it.

Enthiran the MASS….!

New type of  Fever started…! Lot of expectations…lots of  predications…! Unbelievable response for the audio release…sky rocking sales in one day…! The biggest ever deal for audio rights in Indian Cinema industry. Can any actor or any movie or any director create this much hype with all genres of people?  All this due to the the MAGIC Man Rajinikanth.

With the GOD of Tamil film industry (hey guys no comparison with Kamal here..commercial success is a success when it comes to bussiness and So Rajini), with the most successful commercial director of South Indian film Industry, with GOD of  Indian film musics also  world’s one of the great musician, with the most admired beautiful women actress, with India’s best sound editor…no wonder with the magic gonna happen with Enthiran’s release. Really its gonna be a experience watching the movie.

Already the music rockz…! Thanks to A.R.Rahman. Very eager to watch my all time superstar’s magical flick…!Watching Rajini is always like a festival. Releasing date is predicted as September 3rd of 2010. Lets wait for a historical hit of the Indian cinema.  Let this movie be a gateway for sci-fi movies in Indian cinema.

Ravanan – The visual Treat…!

Another awesome (visual) treat from the India’s most lovable & talented director. A old story with slight changes for cinema, with a effort less script, having base in cinematography , music and actors…this could be the best thing I can say about Raavanan movie(Tamil).

Mani knows how to get best out of actors. Vikram lived as Veera (amazing acting), wat an performance. Vikram was the  best selection for this character(veera). In the second half of the movie Aishwarya also shares the acting. Prithivi as a handsome cop did his job well, Fits best with the role.  The major advantage for the movie is camera and music. Santosh Sivan , mani combination never failed. And hats off to RAHMAN for the songs and BG  score. I could say the climax fighting scene in floating bridge was one among the best CG & VFX done in Indian film industry.

I wonder about the location comes around the film.  A little bit faster first half of the movie would be a added advantage. Anyways , from beginning till end I loved the movie. Please watch the movie in theaters with good sound systems, sure it will be like a treat for ears. Every time Mani’s movie create a impact , even we are out of the theater, but his time I miss it. But nothing wrong in it, this is also a kind of narration.  Gonna watch the hindi version also ( avid to see junior bachan’s performance) .

For sure  Raavanan won’t be a hit in B and C theaters , will make some decent mark in A centers. But still for movie lovers, this will be a treat. For the new generation kids, a new way of story telling about RAMAYANAM (Ashokavanam episode).Happy watching Raavanan.

Planned to spend my whole day with the little wonders and booked tickets for the movie “AADHAVAN”.  Wanted to watch this movie on its first day and managed to get tickets. Will come with a review soon…!

MyViews – Sarvam – Tamil Movie

Got to watch this movie on its first day of release(15th may 09). I had some good expectations after seeing the trailer of the movie few months back. I Was most impressed by the camera and background score.

It’s a different try from vishnuvardan (director) but the same old story of Tamil movies. This movie would have been good if some of the cinematic scenes were avoided. Overall vishnu and arya had tried different things with our time and money.And arya tried acting in this move and he succeeded a bit…but a long way to go…!

Sarvam - Worth watching for camera and BG

But worth watching for the cinematography by Nirawshah and BG music by yuvan. The locations chosen and the way Nirav handled the colors and scenes are awesome.He makes our eyes pleasant in all the scenes. Yuvan simply touching hearts with his bg music.Few of the songs were also good. And for sometime screenplay is also good.

Bit of concentration on the first half to make it faster would have helped the movie to reach better and director totally wasted J.D chakravarthy. I’m sure this movie not gonna reach the  B and C theaters. Better luck next time vishnu.

At last I felt hard to catgorize this movie. It may be a thriller  , pshyco , love and comedy(non laugh) movie.

Whatever happens ….Life has to GO on …!

My view
Vaaranam Aayeram, best of the autobiographic kind of movie ever taken in Tamil.It’s a complete autobiography of a young man who got inspired by his father.Hats off to Surya for his marvelous performance.He was more then we expected. A film full of Surya and one should have 1000 eyes to watch him in all the frames of the movie.Surya was never displayed this much handsome.Really we should have 1000 eyes to watch him.

As guessed this movie has the traces of Tom hank’s Forrest Gump, not the whole story but the story line was inspired from Forrest Gump and style of story narration was also resembles the same.The movie just portrays the best father we have ever seen. Everyone will love to have a father like him and every old couple will really realize , how they miss their life by not expressing to each other.The old couples love and intimacy was really beautiful and well shown.The performance of father surya (Krishnan) was mind blowing.The body language, style, tone etc., etc., every thing was 100% perfect with surya.Surya along with the simran, really good to watch them as a couple.Simram made some remarkable performance , will be liked by everyone.

The young surya …was really amazing and you will wonder at his commitment for this movie. He was an energy pack.In some places you can’t believe your eyes.He shows difference in all the stages of the character. He comes as 12th student,first year student, final year student,25 year old guy,30 year old,commando,as a father of 5 year old etc., Everywhere he fits with the character and changed his complete physic.Surya’s six pack was amazing and he looks more handsome in those scenes.

When coming to romance , its simply awesome. Sameera reddy looks pretty good and we can feel the freshness in the love.The one hour with complete love scenes will take you to a different world.Sure every one will miss their loved ones while watching this.The feel of love, the bliss in the love, the real pain of love and every thing about love was displayed perfectly.When it comes to divya , its a different kind of display and makes us pretty comfortable.We can see sort of kakka kakka movie’s love.Divya looks more beautiful in this movie.

When it comes to music, the background music adds value to the movie.We can hear some sort of music everywhere in the movie.Nenjukul,Anal meale,Adiye kolluthe,yethi yethi are well picturised. Expecially ‘nenjukul peidhidum’ and ‘adiye kolluthe’ songs wins our hearts. Extraordinary dance by surya. I was mostly disappointed with the Mundinam song, the song was pictured in a different way and looks good, but for this song the expectation was more and I expected more romance in it.I was totally disappointed with this song.Hats off to thamarai for her excellent lyrics.

All over the movie we can see the Gautam’s brilliance and non masala scenes. Apart for few things , Gautam‘s job was excellent.Again he proved his ability in this movie and his way of story telling resembles English movies. And as usual lots of English dialogs in this movie.

A bit lengthy movie which runs around 3 hours.Apart from the first 20 and last 20 minutes, the move would have been a extraordinary one. Since the movie starts with sadness and ends with sadness, you may sulk when coming out of the theater.This movie is not surely for the guys who hates emotional scenes. This has lots of emotional scenes, which will create some impact with every one. We can see crazy love, romantic love, parents love n respect,lots of positive notes and few negatives too.I’m sure this movie won’t be a big hit , but its a life time movie for Surya and displays the another face of Indian cinema.Lots of things to learn and lots of things to inspire.

Since the movie revolves around the script , we can feel a slowness in the movie. I cannot say this was the best movie to Gautam, he just got to say some thing and he did it on the track.If ones likes Surya, then Vaaranam Aayeram would be a treat for them. Go with less expectations , sure u will enjoy the movie.

Totally a good movie to watch. As a whole , this movie shows and says “Whatever Happens …Life has to go on …! “.
Had good time watching this movie. It’s all just about my perception and my view (not review)on this movie and has no intention to hurt any individual.

Melting voice …!

Bunch of flowers to Hariharan– playback singer for his melting voice in the song “Nenjukkul Piedhidum maamazai” of Vaaranam Aayeram movie.  Excellent song with great music , real good tamil lyrics. I really got dissolved in his voice. I just couldn’t able to control my eagerness of the way it would be pictured.

Surya & Sameera

When hearing this song I could imagine the dance sequence , choreography. I guess the above sequence is for this song. Lets see…! Wish to see this movie at its first day of release. Hope for the best.

Life is really beautifull with mesmerising songs,voicesa and music.

for some reason ….!

Tuesday nit me and my frnd went to theater complex to watch movie. Among the movies screened there we felt Raman Thediya Seethai would be better. And the movie was not bad. But for some reason I would have not watched this movie. Excellent performance by Pasupathi as a visually challenged RJ and decent performance by Nithin sathya and good job by Cheran.
