Thousands of Camps

Tonnes of Relief materials

Hundreds of huge containers

Thousands of vehicles, vans, lorrys,  Cars

Thousands of Shelters ( Marriage halls, mosques, temples, Churchs, community halls, bungalows, houses, Complexes, Multiplex, theatres )

These made Chennai what it is now. This is new to Chennai to face such a natural disaster. Chennai had no experience to handle this situation. Chennai would have never imagined getting these much support in a short notice. But everything happened. Very proud to be in the generation and humanity. No words to express thanks to Indian and NRI donors and the love they shared.

Life is so much beautiful with these good hearted people around as.Thanks for everything. We will be back in form in few weeks.

Meeting with Dr.Kalam at Raj Bhavan, Chennai

Oct 7th of 2009 (tomorrow) , Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is meeting  the representatives from 30  NGO’s  and will be discussing on the social grounds. Dr. Kalam wanted to meet all the NGO representatives to know more about the organizations . Will be giving some advice on the development of India through the activities of Action 2020 group, which is working towards the dream vision- India 2020. Action 2020 is a network/group which links around 35 NGO’s working in and around TamilNadu. Dr.Kalam has always shown some special interest on the Action 2020 team activities.

Blossom is also part of the Action 2020 team and our representatives (mohan & Arun) are also meeting Dr.Kalam tomorrow. And its good to see a great man interested in the NGO’s works and inspiring them by his commitment and his activities.

The meeting is scheduled on 7th Oct 2009 , 8.15 pm at RAJ BHAVAN, Chennai and the time given was one hour. And we wish the meeting should be extended for some more time. So that we can get some more ideas from Dr.Kalam to proceed further. Happy to be a part of Action 2020 and happy to meet Dr.Kalam. Let me update with the happenings soon.

JAI HO – a great evening with A.R.Rahman

Got the tickets for the A.R.Rahman Live in concert “JAI HO” live at 11th  Oct 2009, 6 pm onwards. The location is on Marg Swarnabhoomi ,ECR next to mahabalipuram. Around 25 of our friends got the tickets. And sure we will have a great time there.

Will be the chennai's best Evening

Its my long time tiny dream that I have to see a live concert by A.R.Rahman and its gonna happen next week. And sure everyone would love it and enjoy the most. Ppl can see some non stop dances from us… 🙂

Sand language reached many hearts …!

09 th may 09 (Saturday) me along with my friends from a leading Multimedia training company(IMAGE Infotainment ltd.,) were  involved in a awareness campaign on voting. We created few sand sculptures in the Elliot’s Beach (Besant Nagar, Chennai) to create awareness among the public for voting in the final phase of election.

For all of us this was the experience to build a sculpture in sand and it was really a awful experience to build there. It was a bit hard one to make but interesting and every one enjoyed a lot. Even though the climate was around 38 degree on that day…it hadn’t disturbed us because of the involvement . We started at 5.30 am in the morning  and finished at 12.30 pm noon.

Evening I went there at around 5.45 pm and the response was really great and lots of interesting comments from public. Hope the sand would have spoken few words to them and we will be happy at least these sculptures change few minds to vote this time.

Rebuild our nation with votes

Few of the interesting comments are,

1. you say please vote..but for whom ?

2. Are you working for Election commission.

3. that Swastika symbol belongs to which political party ?

4. Still election is going on ?

5. You ppl belong to which party ?

6. are you peoples from fine arts college ?

7. Hats off to you guys for this wonderful job…!

8. Every thing is okay, but we have to rethink on the voting system.

9. What does the symbol represents ?

10. Sure We will vote this time …!

11. I will ask my friends and neighbors to vote ?

12. Good work by these guys but useless and its waste of time on voting.

For first time voters

But on an average , almost everyone on the beach came near this sculptures and had a look at it and commented and also took photos with mobile cams etc., It was nice been there by hearing all the comments and reactions. Really a gr8 day and beautiful day in  my life. I thank Mr. Sri Balaji (my visual design guru) for given me a chance to be a part of this.

Wish at least the final phase of election should register above 75 to 85 % of votes.To change the fate of the nation…please vote without hate. Election date is May 13th 2009 (wednesday).

Superhero is back…!

At last I managed to get few tickets to the movie Hancock. It’s my superheros movie in which he plays a superhero character. Usually I watch Will Smith movie with no expectations apart from his performance. I loved all his movies and enjoyed watching. release

Hancock ..releasing this friday(11th july) in India. Releasing in more than 10 theaters in chennai. I just wonder at this. Will smith has earned a good number of Fans in India also. This movie has more expectations. Charlize Theron, “the Italian Job“‘s beauty is joining with smith in this movie. I got tickets for Friday Night show in my favorite “Sathyam Theater“.  Avidly waiting to watch Hancock.
