A long awaited common syllabus for Tamilnadu schools (govt, matric, AngloIndian) from 1st to 10th std., has been released by the Tamilnadu government school education department. The syllabus framework for all the subjects has been displayed in the office website for school education department.

Seems that 886 teachers has been applied for writing textbooks for the new syllabus. Among those 306 teachers are interested in writing Tamil textbooks. And government has conducted written test to all those teachers on 30th Oct 2009. Based on the performance in the test the teachers will be selected.

Syllabus for both Tamil and English  mediums are given separately in PDF format. A feedback form is also given along with it. Public can give feedback on this new syllabus through the same website and the feedbacks will also be considered in finalizing the framework.

Seems that lots of care has been taken to prepare the new syllabus. I wish to gothrough all the subjects and will give my feedback as early as possible. I consider this as a great initiative by the school education department and hats off tto Mr.Thangam Thennarasu .

I was very eagerly waiting for this to happen. I wish the syllabus would have been framed at par with the existing matriculation syllabus. This is a great initiative. Equality in quality education can be achieved very soon. Best wishes….!

Planned to spend my whole day with the little wonders and booked tickets for the movie “AADHAVAN”.  Wanted to watch this movie on its first day and managed to get tickets. Will come with a review soon…!

At times I will do some silly introspections and think about the facts in and around me …..

For some reason …. I’m afraid of strangers,

For some reason …. I’m afraid to be alone,

For some reason…. most times I never showcased my talents,

For some reason…. I haven’t answered most of the known questions,

For some reason…. I’m afraid to go new places,

For some reason…. I want to get away from this normal life,

For some reason…. I haven’t expressed myself fully,

For some reason…. I always depend on other person to represent me,

For some reason…. I changed my carieer,

For some reason…. I afraid to take risks many times (though I wanted to),

For some reason…. I act matured ,

For some reason…. I haven’t asked questions (where i have to),

For some reason…. Some times I avoid being in crowd,

For some reason…. I was/am dependent,

For some reason…. I missed some good opportunities(though I’m capable of),

For some reason…. I kept myself silent (where i should have shouted),

For some reason…. I’m more emotional (though I’m not),

For some reason…. I wish to stay alone,

For some reason……….???

I know what are all the reasons….but used with it and making myself to be comfortable with it. Life is really interesting for me because of these “some reasons…!“. Nothing and no one can be blamed for these some reasons…..I know there i a reason behind every happening…and so i too have some reasons…!

Yesterday we(25 of us) have been to the live concert(Jai Ho) of A.R.Rahman at Marg Swarnabhoomi at ECR , chennai.  We had a great time over there. The Music started at around 7.30 pm and went on till 11.00 pm. Around 3 hours of music, shouting, dancing….really we had a gr8 time. The program started with one of my most favorite song…”Jaage hain  (ore kana)” from Guru movie and ended with the song “JAI HO & Vande mataram”.

The stage decoration and arrangements were wonderful. Especially the visual effects for each song was awesome. The dance performances were also good. I almost lost my breath with my favorite sivamani’s solo performance. And we cannot say this is a well organized event. We felt that little bit care should have been taken. The program started 1.30 hrs late.  And when coming to the songs played..most of the songs were hindi songs. The whole crowd was little bit disappointed on this. Anyways…we loved the show and music.

In someway music is related to GOD..and so Rahman is.."GOD of Music"

Around 100 km from chennai , around 300 buses , thousands of cars, thousands of bikes, around 50000 ppl towards one man and thats Rahman. I can proudly say he is “GOD of MUSIC”. Rahman rocks…..and thanks for giving us wonderful evening and for adding few more unforgettable moments of my life.

Oct 11, its a day to celebrate. Three beautiful year has been over and  we are stepping into 4th successful year. Yeah its BLOSSOM’s BIRTHDAY and simply we call it as B Day. Really happy to pen this post. Every year is a new challenge and we are looking forward for a brand new 4th year with lots of hopes and dreams.

And speaking about last years progress, we have to accept that we are not satisfied with the Priyamudan & h.A.A.r.t projects. We haven’t done any thing new. We just continued what we have  committed already. But in the QUEST project we can say that its a great year. We made lots of progress and seen some wonderful response from the students. Lack of progress in other projects are due to reduced  funds and volunteers. Recession played a good role in funds flow. At one stage we were badly hit due to funds. Anyways managed to proceed with some of our guys from US.

Setbacks are always there..but with all the supporting hearts and encouraging words we step towards the brand new 4th year. We never dream without putting proper hard work. Have lots of plans for this year. Wish to bloom in more lives to bring smiles and shines. Together we can…together we should…! BLOSSOM – lets bring it…!

Lashings of thanks for all kind hears and encouraging words all over the year. Thanks for believing us and thanks for being and making us socially responsible. Thanks for being with us in the worst situations…! Without you this B Day would have been meaningless.

Finally ..hearty wishes to our dream and our vision – BLOSSOM. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Oct 7th of 2009 (tomorrow) , Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is meeting  the representatives from 30  NGO’s  and will be discussing on the social grounds. Dr. Kalam wanted to meet all the NGO representatives to know more about the organizations . Will be giving some advice on the development of India through the activities of Action 2020 group, which is working towards the dream vision- India 2020. Action 2020 is a network/group which links around 35 NGO’s working in and around TamilNadu. Dr.Kalam has always shown some special interest on the Action 2020 team activities.

Blossom is also part of the Action 2020 team and our representatives (mohan & Arun) are also meeting Dr.Kalam tomorrow. And its good to see a great man interested in the NGO’s works and inspiring them by his commitment and his activities.

The meeting is scheduled on 7th Oct 2009 , 8.15 pm at RAJ BHAVAN, Chennai and the time given was one hour. And we wish the meeting should be extended for some more time. So that we can get some more ideas from Dr.Kalam to proceed further. Happy to be a part of Action 2020 and happy to meet Dr.Kalam. Let me update with the happenings soon.

Got the tickets for the A.R.Rahman Live in concert “JAI HO” live at 11th  Oct 2009, 6 pm onwards. The location is on Marg Swarnabhoomi ,ECR next to mahabalipuram. Around 25 of our friends got the tickets. And sure we will have a great time there.

Will be the chennai's best Evening

Its my long time tiny dream that I have to see a live concert by A.R.Rahman and its gonna happen next week. And sure everyone would love it and enjoy the most. Ppl can see some non stop dances from us…

5 nights, 4 days, around 20 creative minds, Yet another bunch of most beautiful days in my life. Its for making a DIGITAL GOLU (a traditional celebrations for navarathiri festival) in the Image Infotainment. It was a stupendous experience to work with a great team.

I wonder that how things happened..bcos no one was compelled to take the work..and no one was ordered to do it. We took in a interest..every one did what they were capable of with a great unity and perfection. Got to learn tonnes of new things while doing this project. A great example for the quote “Team work never fails”. We were given very short span of time and immediately with our captain (our visual design master – balaji) we started planning and started executing it.

The materials used were, plastic bottles (pepsi , maaza, aqufina, kinely etc.,) , jute bags, news papers, wires, strings, compass, nails, nuts, bolts, pop, white paint, aluminium paint, old electronic wastes, batteries, plastic transparent sheets.

In the beginning we were missing the track ..but we never lost the confidence and we believed that we can make the best of all.That was the only thought made us to achieve the things. The main thing was, except few in the team ..others don’k know about what will be the output (At times we too were out of  focus). But every one was perfect with their responsible task.The core team never felt tired…we worked continuously for 48 hours with just a two hours disturbed sleep. We maintained the momentum with fast beat songs (Saroja, nadodigal etc.,), pepsi/coke, biscuits, tea, coffee etc., Atlast nothing went wrong and the out put was more than we expected and the response was unbelievable.We names it as THE PLANET PLASTER.

Special thanks goes to the technical head(prakhasam sir), our art master (Big – B),praveen(the best one to work  with), ram(master of sounds), venkatesh(king in FLASH CS3),ravi, my pets (siva -black tiger, sadana -little doll, manju -the one on myside – cheerful ),my great buddies(kalai – idea mani, madan – maddy, baskar , aswin – timing king, shivaBalan – the director, ajitha&abitha – means cute, kumaran, siva, ashok&kamalesh – laurel& hardy,surrender)and few others.

We just left with a few drops of tears when we showcased the first show of the DIGITAL GOLU – THE PLANET PLASTER. And we the Team success has won the BEST CONCEPT award and got lots of credits from the directors and the judges. It was really a great initiative by IMAGE multimedia to bring out the talents. I personally wanted to thank the “Team Success” of Image Anna nagar for all these efforts and happy to be a member in the team.

Atlast here it is …. “A drug to banish bad memories“. Yet another high profie research by few human brains. The new Pill Is Likely To Remove Unhappy Or Embarrassing Memories In Life. I was bit schoked and surprised when I read it in the TOI news paper this morning.

Apart from thinking on the pros and cons fo the drug….one thing I can say, the man/company who is gonna get pattent for this will be the richest in this universe. Sure this drug will get such a demand…!

The modern research trend which works beyond and against the nature may lead this world as  shown in sci-fi movies. Simply making man a machine.
